We went to TigerFest on Saturday and it was a good time. It’s the first time I’ve been to TigerFest since 1999 and, needless to say, it was a little different. Saturday, there were lines for everything! In 1999, my friend and I walked right up (no lines) to get a photo with Bobby Higginson, the most popular Tiger at the time. My, how winning changes things! I told Kevin that while I love my team’s success, I hate the bandwagon jumpers that come out of nowhere to snatch up all the tickets and bog down all the events. All those people that were fans when the Tigers’ sucked should have a card to carry around that affords them extra privileges for all their time and trouble.ANYWAY, we did the tour of the press box, suites, administrative offices, clubhouse and dugout and that was very cool. We also shopped all the merchandise (I couldn’t find this cool hat there – they were sold out – so I had to order it) and went through the kids’ areas. Harmon is still a bit too small to get it but, next year, it is on!
All the baseball this weekend got me so excited for the season and I’m hoping we can get to AT LEAST one game per month (not sure with the way tickets are selling). At any rate, as I sit here on a cold and snowy January day in Michigan, I can look forward to this (from the Major League Baseball web site):

No worries my fine friends...you'll be privy to our season seats for certain, and I've already told June that at least one of the St. Louis games probably belongs to you and Kevin because Kevin's brain would hemorrhage otherwise.
We also might not be needing any of our July tickets because we'll be out West so those games are likely going to be yours for the picking.
No need to worry my good friend...although there are only two seats...Harmon has to buy from a scalper.
