The other night, when I was getting Simon down to sleep (no more rocking - I haz a sad), I heard "Barely Breathing" by Duncan Sheik. This song was a hit (I use that word loosely) when Kevin lived in St. Louis and ALWAYS reminds me of our time there.
It seems like just yesterday I was booking flights to St. Louis for every break I had during graduate school. And, now, we've been married for almost 10 years, we own a home in Ann Arbor (where we've always dreamed of living), we have a son who is just days away from starting kindergarten and another son who is just days away, it seems, from being potty trained. HOW did this happen? HOW did we get here? HOW are we so blessed to be living out our dreams every day? However it happened, we're so glad we're here.
