At the ballpark

Back when Tigers tickets went on sale, we picked one Sunday (kids' day) each month and bought $5 tickets. We're never in our seats long so we figured why spend more, right? And, this is the last year Simon is free so it's a great deal!

Anyway, our first game was Sunday, May 29 and the boys had a great time (despite the fact that the Tigers lost to the Red Sox). They rode the carousel (Simon's first time) and ate way too much food. Because the game the previous night was postponed due to rain, Sunday turned into a day/night doubleheader and the kids run the bases event after the day game - our game - was cancelled. The boys were sad about this so we tried to make it up with a ride in the ferris wheel but ... yeah ... the wait was HOURS long. Harmon also expressed an interest in getting his face painted (as a Tiger) - something I NEVER thought he would go for - but by the time we got to the face painting booth, they were closed. All in all, we kind of struck out on the day or, at the most, went 1 for 4 (a good day for Brandon Inge). I'm hoping we can do a little better at our next game on Sunday, June 26.
